Our purchasing manager and procurement assistant, Yvette and Ria volunteered to paint the exterior of a forest school shed at a local primary school, last week.
We donated the paint and paint brushes to support Yvette and Ria in their efforts. Each year, we encourage our employees to volunteer – it is a meaningful way for us to give back to the community and it’s empowering; the team get to use their skills and experience for a worthwhile cause.
Yvette comments: “The weather was perfect, and it was great to be able to help within our local community.
“We want to make it an environment where the children can appreciate their beautiful surroundings and have fun whilst learning. We enjoyed it so much that Ria and I will be volunteering our own time to help paint the inside too!”
Each Burlington Uniforms employee is gifted two volunteer days per year as part of our Employee-supported Volunteering initiative.
